It is a compact reel with a Hagane body and VBS cast control system that will deliver long, accurate casts. The SLX features four ball bearings and weighs in at just 6.9 ozs. Load it with braid, mono or fluorocarbon lines and you are good to go! The gearing is very smooth and it is best in class in this price point.
