La Croix St Laurent Sancerre Caillottes 2020 Size::12 Bottle Case 93 POINTS - Jasper MorrisA stylish and focused Sancerre from vines growing in the limestone gravel soils known as caillottes. After fermentation in tank, the wine ages in large acacia wood barrels, gaining a bit of richness without wood notes. This feels smoky and savory with plenty of stone and citrus fruit lifted by a crisp burst of zesty lime and salty stone minerality at the end. Supple enough for solo sipping and better still with food.
