Domaine Gautheron Cyril Gautheron 'Frissons' AOP Bourgogne Chardonnay 2017 moorooduc-estate 90% Grenache planted 1904In 2016, Gautheron had lost so much fruit from frost (fun fact Frissons means frozen in French) that they had to source their fruit from outside their vineyard. Such was the success of the first release that they did it again in 2017 with this wine, Cyril Gautherson Frissons Bourgogne Chardonnay. New world in style but still with the hallmark of a great old world French wine, it has clean fresh fruit with a nuance of complexity and richness.
